GURKHAS’ BLUES is a milestone documentary in the patch of human rights as well as activism advocating the rights of British Gurkhas serving the British army in the various theatres of war. The documentary follows the lives of many ex-Gurkhas who had been unceremoniously laid off after the wars. GAESO, the organization fighting for the rights of Gurkhas presented the documentary in the United Nations Human Rights hearings in Geneva.

Better to die than be a coward” is the motto of the world-famous Nepalese Gurkha soldiers who are an integral part of the British Army.
They still carry into battle their traditional weapon – an 18-inch long curved knife known as the kukri.
