Geopolitical optics are at risk of blurring Australia’s focus on neighbours’ wellbeing. It’s time to reconsider the purpose in addition to intent of ‘aid’ in addition to consider a wider Australian development cooperation program which is elevated to work on equal footing with defence in addition to diplomacy drivers of Australian foreign policy.
