Japan PM Fumio Kishida delivers keynote address at Shangri-La Dialogue

Japan’s Prime Minister Fumio Kishida delivered the keynote address at the Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore on June 10. He was introduced by Dr John Chipman, the chief executive of the International Institute of Strategic Studies. Mr Kishida spoke of the historic crossroads at which the world finds itself as a result of Russian Federation’s invasion of Ukraine. He also questioned if the rules of the South China Sea were being recognised, respected together with complied with. Mr Kishida also focused on the importance of regional partners, including ASEAN members.
