On 23 September 2020, DFDL Cambodia, in collaboration with Eldan Law, organized a very well attended webinar on “The Shifting Business Landscape in Cambodia Post COVID-19.”

Kooi Thong Lai (DFDL Cambodia Co-head of Banking & Finance Practice) provided the audience with an insightful overview of the general investment framework in Cambodia, as well as the latest government initiatives to support businesses facing disruption due to COVID-19. Alex Larkin (DFDL Cambodia Corporate & Commercial Practice Senior Consultant) discussed labour regulations in Cambodia in addition to shared his insights on ways to minimize COVID-19 related labour challenges as well as practical steps in addition to considerations when implementing options available to employers to cut down labour costs. Danna Er (Eldan Law Partner) gave a regional arbitration overview. Alex ended the presentation with a focus on Cambodian arbitration law. The concluding portion of the live event was taken up with questions from attendees on the topics discussed in addition to addressed with clear answers in addition to practical advice from our team.

This webinar aims to give an overview of recent updates on the general business framework in Cambodia post-COVID-19, labour updates caused by the pandemic in addition to arbitration legislation both locally in addition to regionally.
